Latinx Heritage Month is celebrated and observed annually from September 15th to October 15th in the United States.

Latinx Heritage Month theme flyer. Peach-colored background with two blocks in the center. One block is square colored yellow, and the other is a rectangle colored blue. Shaded and transparent palm trees in the background, and one image of a sun with a face on it. Wordings on the flyer share a quote from Benito Ocasio Martinez, stating, "Gente hay que empezar a preocuparnos menos y a disfrutar mas porque la vida va rapido... ”. The rest of the writing states "Celebrate. Latinx Heritage Month" September 15 - October 15". The writings are in the colors  black, red, orange, and yellow.

The importance of observing the contributions and significance of several Hispanic, Afro-Latinx, and Latinx individuals is to recognize the asset they are to our communities and country. Through praise and acknowledgment of who is the Hispanic, Afro-Latinx, and Latinx community on the Lafayette campus, we all come together.
