Intercultural Development

Lafayette has a commitment to diversity and inclusion, which prepares students to be leaders in a globalized world. The Office of Intercultural Development promotes a welcoming, inclusive, and equitable campus community.

Lafayette students have numerous opportunities to commit to lifelong learning about our world and its diverse citizens. Our office also has a commitment to responding to acts of intolerance and resolving conflicts in a spirit of civil discourse. If you have experienced or witnessed an incident of bias, submit a report here — Our Bias Response Team will respond quickly.

Cultural Programming

Lafayette students and employees represent 42 states in the U.S. and 47 countries worldwide. Our office affirms and celebrates the diversity of our community through heritage awareness months, cultural performances, art exhibitions, religious holidays and observances, and Portlock Black Cultural Center.

Educational Outreach

We offer educational programming to complement the diversity embedded in the Lafayette curriculum. Learn about Kaleidoscope, the President's McDonogh lecture series, Safe Zone training, and Faith Zone Training.
